So, this short story is dedicated to Carey Anne and the ladies who were in on my Zoom call, Clo, Aileen, Emma, Consuelo, Alyscia, Trina, Brier Lynn and Krida. It will be a drabblish story, with shorter chapters. Shorter chapters mean quicker updates! :-)
This is not mine. I don’t own Twilight, but I wish I did. Sigh …
Up next will be a couple of excursions and a conversation with Miss Alice. How do you think she’s doing?
March 12th, 2020
Early the next morning, Bella and Edward walked to the breakfast pavilion before heading to the dock. They were going on a snorkeling excursion off the coast. They stopped at the gift shop, grabbing some reef-safe sunscreen, without any glitter. They also picked up a few waterproof disposable cameras. Bella didn’t want to bring her expensive camera, even with the waterproof protective housing she owned. She did slip her smaller vlogging camera, encased in a waterproof container into the bag.
As they enjoyed a shared omelet, they planned the rest of the day. The excursion was only until early afternoon. Bella wanted to spend more time on the beach while Edward wanted to enjoy their private pool. From the look on his face, he needed to defile the private pool.
“You are a man obsessed,” Bella quipped, popping a piece of kiwi into her mouth. She wore a black, lacy coverup that barely hid her black string bikini.
“Obsessed for your pussy, yes,” Edward smirked. “You say that like it’s a bad thing, Glitterella.”
“I’m just as obsessed for your dick, Sparkleward,” she snickered. “I do want to spend more time on the beach.”
“Tomorrow, Bella,” he suggested. “I want to enjoy every inch of your wet, delectable body … my tongue between your thighs, my cock in your mouth and fucking you until you scream.”
Bella looked up at him, shifting in her seat as her body reacted to his honeyed voice. “You fight dirty, Edward.”
“So, the pool?” he snickered.
“The pool today and perhaps, we can go out to a club tonight,” Bella suggested. “While you were showering, I found a club that might be a lot of fun. D-Edge?”
“I’m down with that,” Edward nodded. “So, snorkeling this morning, pool this afternoon and the club tonight. Maybe, we can go out to eat before the club?”
“Hmmm, probably not,” she laughed. “The club dress I brought is not really appropriate for anything other than shaking my ass.”
“Is it that sparkly thing hanging in our closet?” Edward asked, a curious brow quirked up.
“Yep. Let’s just say that underwear would not go with that,” Bella purred. “It’s cut down to my navel and the skirt is pretty short. I have a lacy, sexy thong to wear with it …”
“Fuck, Bella,” Edward groaned. “You’re going to kill me with the worst case of blue balls.”
“How many times did we fuck each other stupid?” Bella giggled.
“Not the point, woman!” Edward laughed, shaking his head. He pulled her closer, nuzzling her sweet-smelling skin. “Never, never in my life have I desired a woman as much as I desired you. Everything about you? Your smile, your scent, your body … they call to me. While I’m attracted to you physically, it’s your mind that makes you even more amazing.” He cupped her cheek, caressing her soft skin and staring into her expressive chocolate eyes. “I’m falling for you, Bella Swan, heart, body and soul.”
“Edward …” she whispered.
“I know it seems fast and you don’t have to say anything, but I can’t not tell you how I feel,” he said simply. Leaning forward, he kissed her. “I’m in this for the long haul, Bella.”
She wanted to believe him. She wanted to trust him and allow herself to love him. She’d never said those words to any man other than her father.
“Glitterella,” Edward chided. “Don’t think too much about this.”
“I’m sorry that I’m emotionally stunted,” Bella blurted, her face flaming.
“Bella, you’re not,” Edward said, trailing his fingers down her cheek. “Don’t put yourself down. I just wanted to let you know how I felt. Let’s have fun while we snorkel. Okay?”
“Okay,” she nodded. “Okay. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologize, baby,” Edward whispered, kissing her gently. “Don’t ever apologize for being honest. You told me about your past, and I’m honored that you trusted me enough to let me know. I would never betray you in that way. I care for you too much.” In his mind, Edward thought something different, I love you too much. But, it wasn’t the right time. “Are you ready?”
“Yeah. If I eat anymore, I may just lose my breakfast,” she snorted. “I love traveling, but by plane or car. Boat is not a preferred mode of travel. Anyway, I have my C-bands and I’ve already taken Dramamine.”
They put some money on the table, heading to the dock. Nahuel was standing on the deck and coiling some rope. “My father said you were coming,” he said, a bright smile on his face. “Are you ready to go?”
“No one else is coming?” Bella asked, getting onto the boat.
“We have two other couples and they’re in the cabin,” Nahuel explained. “Now, I’m going to head up to the bridge with my father. If you need anything, just dial zero and it’ll connect you to the bridge. It’ll be around an hour and a half until we get to the spot offshore where we have our snorkeling excursions. Help yourself to the buffet inside.”
Settling inside of the massive yacht, Bella and Edward introduced themselves to the two couples going on the excursion with them. One couple was from South Africa and the other was from Ireland. Benjamin and Tia, the couple from Johannesburg, were celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary and were on a babymoon, trying to get pregnant while on this trip. Liam and Siobhan were just on holiday before Siobhan began graduate school after moving to the states over the summer, getting her master’s degree in public health.
Liam and Siobhan were friendly and talkative, becoming fast friends with Bella and Edward. Liam definitely broke the ice when he complimented Bella’s boobs. As it turned out, Liam and Siobhan were a few feet away from Bella and Edward yesterday at the beach.
“Outside of Siobhan, you have the best tits,” Liam laughed. “Are they real?”
Bella blushed, but grinned widely. “100% me,” she quipped. “Right, babe?”
“They are the best tits,” Edward admitted, sliding his arm around Bella’s waist. He kissed her temple.
“You have more body confidence than I have,” Siobhan said, looking at Bella.
“I’m proud of my body. I know it’s not perfect, but it’s mine,” Bella replied, lifting a shoulder.
“You’re gorgeous, Bella,” Siobhan smiled.
“Thank you, but there was a point in my life where I was ashamed of my body, but that’s too heavy for this excursion,” Bella responded. “I’m excited to snorkel. It’s been some time since I’ve snorkeled.”
“Where?” Edward asked.
“I took an excursion in Maui, exploring a long-extinct volcanic crater and Turtle Town,” Bella said. “I also went in Phuket, too. However, I found the Maui experience more rewarding.”
The six of them chatted until the yacht stopped and they dropped anchor. Nahuel came down, with his polo shirt replaced with a rash guard. He went over some safety protocols and distributed equipment. When he done, he jumped into the water, waiting for everyone to join him. Bella put the snorkel onto her head, carrying the flippers in her hand. Edward followed her.
They spent several hours in the water, exploring the reefs and aquatic life. Bella took pictures with the camera and playing with Edward, who was falling deeper and deeper for her with her innate need to explore and learn. She was also so comfortable in her own skin, with an easy smile and confident air.
But, he knew she had that confidence because of that disgusting pig who’d married her mother. That monster made her feel less, needing to hide herself and forcing her to lose her faith in people, men in particular.
“You’re thinking too hard, babe,” Bella teased, her snorkeling mask pushed onto her forehead. “This is supposed to be fun. Swim with the fish and channel your inner Nemo.”
“Sorry, Bella,” he chuckled, tugging on her hand, and pulling her close. “I’m just …” He trailed off, kissing her sweetly. Her skin was salty from the water and her mouth was warm. “I’m having fun with you. So much fun.”
“Lose this,” she giggled, smoothing the wrinkle between his brows. She kissed him again. “Come on. How long can you hold your breath? I found something, but it’s at the bottom of this little cove.”
“Lead the way,” Edward said, pulling his mask over his eyes and putting the snorkel into his mouth.
They swam to the bottom of the cove, looking at the reef filled with so many varieties of fish. Bella grabbed Edward’s hand, pointing out a clown fish and a regal tang, the blue fish from Finding Nemo. Bella pushed the camera to Edward. He held it up, taking a photo of Bella with the two fish. She did the same with him before they swam back to the surface. Breathless, Edward pulled her into his arms. “That was so amazing, Bella. How did you know?”
“I didn’t, but I saw them together. It was Benjamin who pointed them out to his wife. She panicked and swam back to the yacht,” Bella giggled, swimming to the yacht. “But, I’m starting to feel the burn.”
“Excuse me?” Edward asked.
“Sunburn. So are you, babe. Your shoulders are flaming,” she responded. “Come on. I need to reapply and I’m hungry.” With another kiss, she kicked toward the yacht, with Edward behind her. Nahuel was at the ladder, taking their flippers and helping them onto the deck. They hosed off the salt water with cool fresh water and walked to a shaded area of the yacht. Bella tossed on her coverup and tugged on Edward’s hand. “Turn around and let me help you. Damn, Cullen. You’re red.”
“What do you expect from a guy who has red hair?” Edward snickered as she massaged more sunscreen into his back.
“It’s turning more blonde in the sun,” she retorted. She handed him the tube. “My turn.”
After they reapplied their sunscreen, they ate lunch with the rest of the couples while Nahuel and his team readied the yacht for its return to the resort. The trip back was quick. Bella actually drifted off, snoozing on Edward’s shoulder. He hated to wake her up when the boat docked, but the walk back to their villa was a little too far to carry her, even though she was tiny.
“As much as I want to hang out by the pool, I think a nap might be better suited,” Bella mumbled as they leisurely walked back to their villa. “After a shower. I feel like I’m covered in grit, and I smell like Red Lobster.”
“It’s more of a combination of Red Lobster and coconuts,” Edward quipped.
“Yeah, that’s gross,” Bella groaned. “Shower, nap and then, club.”
“I think we need some sort of elixir for sun burn. I can already feel my skin barking,” Edward groaned.
“I have some aloe in the fridge and once we’re clean, we can bathe in that,” Bella said.
Taking a tepid shower was exactly what the doctor ordered. Bella had on a silky nightie, which felt amazing on her overheated skin. She was typing on her computer, writing about the snorkeling excursion. As her fingers flew over the keys, a FaceTime call came through. Bella smiled when she saw it was Miss Alice. She answered the call, laughing when she saw Alice’s ceiling. “Miss Alice, I have a lovely view of your tin tiles. I’d rather see your face,” Bella teased.
“Sorry,” she said, angling the phone to her face. “Better?”
“Much,” Bella answered. “How are you doing?”
“I miss you something awful,” Alice frowned. “Things are getting intense here in the states. We’re going on a quarantine shut down. No unnecessary travel and … there’s nothing in the stores!”
“If you need anything, you can swipe it from me, Miss Alice,” Bella said. “You know me. I’m one of those hoarders when it comes to the most random shit.”
“I think I may. I need toilet paper, but I can’t get it anywhere. The shelves are picked clean!” Alice wailed.
“I have two big toilet paper boxes in my storage locker,” she said calmly. “Help yourself. Do you need me to set up some grocery delivery? Oooh, I get Hello Fresh, and I can have it diverted to your address.”
“It’s a food delivery service. It has fresh food, and you cook the meals. It’s great since I’m usually cooking for one, which sucks,” Bella snorted.
“Okay,” Alice nodded.
“What about your family? Have they checked in with you?” Bella asked, her blood pressure rising. When Alice shook her head, Bella bit back a curse. “Miss Alice, I think that your kids are entitled brats. Why aren’t they worried about you?”
“Because, I’m nothing more than the eccentric old lady who will give them money when I croak,” Alice spat.
“You’re more than that, Miss Alice. You’re not eccentric,” Bella countered. “You’re funny, smart and so much more!”
“Oh, sweetheart,” Alice sighed, looking at her adoptive child. “I’m sorry for unloading on you. This old lady is just panicking.”
“Understandable,” Bella said, looking up as Edward walked out of the bathroom in nothing but a towel. She licked her lips as the towel fell to the ground and he pulled up a pair of boxer briefs.
“I recognize that look,” Alice laughed. “Having fun with your beau?”
“You have no idea,” Bella whimpered. “Look, I want to talk, but Edward and I went snorkeling. We’re both exhausted. I’m going to set up that meal delivery service for you. I’ll send you a text with a confirmation. You remember how to text?”
“I just called you using the FaceSpace,” Alice grumped. “I think I can handle texting.”
“FaceTime, Miss Alice,” Bella gently corrected. “And, you did great. I’m proud of you.”
“I’ll see you soon, Bella. Thank you for … taking care of me … even though you’re so far away,” Alice said, giving me a sad smile. “Love you.”
“You, too,” Bella replied, pressing a kiss to her lips. She held it up as she ended the call. Opening up her web browser, she arranged for food delivery for her elderly neighbor. Her brows were furrowed as she silently cursed Alice’s bratty children and grandchildren. She also read the local news, trying to figure out how severe this illness that had Alice so rattled. There had been no mention of it while they were in Brazil.
Edward slid behind Bella, kissing her neck. “How’s Miss Alice?”
“In full panic mode,” Bella replied, sending a confirmation link to her friend. “She said that grocery stores are picked bare and there’s talk of a travel ban.” She closed her computer. “Should we leave, head back to the states?” Turning, Bella looked at him, her own panic beginning to bubble in her belly.
“Let’s take a nap and when we wake up, I’ll call Emmett. He’ll tell me the details. If he’s in panic mode, then I’ll make arrangements for us to fly back,” Edward said gently, guiding Bella to the bedroom.
“How is that an accurate barometer for gauging how serious this is?” Bella asked.
“Because very little aggravates Emmett. If he’s freaking out, we’ll fly back,” Edward explained. “Come on, Glitterella. I’m exhausted from floating in the Atlantic Ocean and being out in the sun for hours.” She nodded, crawling into bed with him. Like Edward, she shattered. He wrapped his arms around her, idly running his fingers along her spine. “Everything will be okay, Bella.”
“I hope so,” she whispered, closing her eyes.
They slept for a few hours. Edward woke up first, his bladder making its presence known. He went to the bathroom before picking up his cell phone. He slipped outside, dialing his friend.
“Edward!” Emmett boomed. “How’s the tropical paradise?”
“Tropical and completely paradise,” Edward chuckled. “How are things up there?”
“Some new restrictions, but we’re doing good. A lot of people are using that online version of training. Almost all of our trainers are completely booked. The gym is pretty deserted since the mayor issued a shelter-in-place order. I made the decision that the managers of each our locations and the most senior trainers needed come in for basic upkeep of the gyms and to have access to the equipment for their clients. Oh, there’s also a mask mandate.”
“Should I come back?” Edward asked.
“And do what? Edward, you could handle the situation from where you’re at. You have your laptop, right?” Emmett asked.
“I do,” he replied.
“Eddie, you haven’t taken any time off. Let me handle this,” Emmett soothed.
“Have you heard anything about a travel ban?”
“There’s a travel ban from anyone coming from China, but not anywhere else,” Emmett explained. “Let me check.” Edward listened to his best friend and business partner clacking on the computer. “Yeah, the only travel ban is from people traveling from China. The bans are being handled by each state, though. The federal government is not providing any sort of guidance regarding this pandemic.”
“What’s Washington state saying?” Edward asked.
“I’d have to look it up, but I’ve got a client appointment in a few. Can I email you?”
“Sounds good, Em. Oh, how’s Rose?” Edward questioned. “You know … with …”
“We’re okay. I’m excited about becoming a dad, but she’s still uncertain if she wants to continue the pregnancy,” Emmett sighed. “This is a longer conversation that I don’t have the time for, Eddie. I promise, I’ll talk to you soon.”
Hanging up his cell phone, he sat down heavily on the chaise lounge overlooking the pool. He weighed the option of staying in São Paulo or returning to Seattle.
“Edward?” Bella called.
“Out here,” he replied.
She padded out to the patio, sitting on Edward’s lap. “I went to snuggle with you, but my cuddle buddy was gone.”
“Sorry, Bella,” he chuckled. “I needed to go to the bathroom, and I couldn’t fall back asleep. So, I checked in with Emmett.”
“What did he say?”
“We’re still okay,” Edward answered. “He didn’t seem flustered or worried. I think I’m going to rely on that. For now, let’s enjoy tonight and the rest of our trip. Okay?” He leaned down kissing her lips. “Besides, I want to see you in this sexy, glittery dress. Will you live up to your name, Glitterella?”
“You’ll just have to see, Sparkleward,” Bella quipped.
A/N: I had every intention of putting the club in this chapter, but I think it’ll be better in the next chapter. Let’s just say that our pervy exhibitionists will have some fun at the club, D-Edge.
Pictures from their snorkeling excursion, the couples that they met, and the yacht are on my blog. You can access that from a link on my profile. I’m also on FB: Tufano79’s Twilight Fanfiction Appreciation. Twitter, too: tufano79.
