It felt like a lifetime ago since the last time I had been here. Nothing had changed since the last time I was here.
Well, everything had mostly remained the same. Except that now the only thing that remains of my house is the foundation.
Now, as I see the damage that the fire had done to my house and Irina's house, I feel the familiar anger beginning to brew. Anger so powerful that I feel it may consume me.
"Isa, maybe we should head to my house…" I hear my brother, Emmett say.
I turn to look towards him, surprised at his arrival, "No, I'm not going home. I'm going to go to the warehouse." I replied, moving towards my car.
"Fuck what Anthony says! I don't answer to him! I don't answer to you either! I am a person! Of my own free will! No one, especially him, is allowed to tell me what to do!" I growled in response, turning sharply towards him, and cutting him off angrily.
"Sorellina, sure you don't expect me to allow you to go there by yourself. If you are so hell-bent— andando a vedere quello stupido fottuto stronzo. Sto venendo con te." He growled, irritatedly. (Sister/On going to see that stupid fucking asshole. I'm coming with you.)
I fought a smirk as I stared at him huff and puff, looking like an irritated bear, as he switched from English to Italian with a blink of an eye.
"Why are you really here, fratellino?" I asked, leaning back to sit on the hood of my car. (brother)
He shook his head unamused at me, his eyes moving to the burnt mess across the street. "Ti ho deluso, sorellina, e mi dispiace." He whispered, lowering his head. (I have disappointed you, little sister, and I'm sorry)
I raised a brow, uncomprehending his comment. "How so? You didn't put a gun to my head and force me to do all that I've done… This has all been my choice. Everything I have done is because I wanted to. Including sleeping with Anthony… look I know we don't see eye to eye on everything but you have to realize that I am a big girl now. I don't need to be babied. I can deal with this on my own." I replied softly.
"Lo so, vorrei solo .. le cose fossero diverse." He muttered back, pouting. (I know, I just wish ... things were different.)
"We can't change a fucking thing. Bitching won't make a difference. We were born into this shitty life, and we'll probably fucking die in it… But let's not dwell on that shit. Let's go pay a visit to the dog…". I said, hoping off the hood and moving to the passenger's seat, and hopping in, ignoring his eye roll.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked as he adjusted the seat.
"I sure as fuck do! I have been dreaming of this moment for the last few weeks, Now, get a move on, Dale." I said, whacking the back of his head.
"Ow, fuck!" He exclaimed as he pulled away.
It was just past two in the morning as Emmett pulled into the practically empty warehouse.
Emmett had forced me to go to his house to change out of the jeans, cable knit sweater, and high-heeled boots I chose to wear on the way home. Even though I was glad to be able to change into a pair of black cargo pants, and a black-gray long sleeve shirt, after we got home, I was still annoyed that he chose to follow me here.
I smiled at the sound of the gravel crunching under my old chelsea boots. Emmett rolled his eyes as he saw my delighted expression.
"Are you ready to do this?" I asked him as he scoffed, cracking his knuckles before we made our way into the warehouse.
Darkness submerged us immediately as the guards turned to see who had arrived, with their guns drawn, "Put your guns away, idioti." I ordered as I turned my emotions off.(dumbasses)
They gasped in realization as they realized who had arrived, before scrambling to put their weapons away.
I ignore their poor, half-ass apologies, "Where is he?"
The guards balked at me before one of them finally turned and gestured for us to follow him. "Did you bring what I asked you to?" I asked as I walked into the room.
He nodded, gesturing towards the table.
"Perfect. Take off the blindfold.". I instructed as I slipped on a pair of black rubber gloves.
" Anything else, ma'am?" He asked, hesitantly after he pulled off the blindfold.
"Where am I?" The dog asked, dazed.
I smirked, "Hold him down." I replied, smirking at the dog as his eyes widened in horror when he realized I was standing in the room.
"Hello Jacob, do remember me?" I asked, as he gasped and tried to get loose.
"Nah. Uh. uh. You don't want to miss all the fun now do you?" I asked as I lifted a pair of pliers.
