Tiny cables with jaws resembling alligator clips, these parasites latch onto the cords and roots of other Pokémon of Ultra Plant and soak up electricity. Suchomyzon overwhelmingly prefer stationary hosts, swarming at the bases of Radrazelit, Antenast, and the largest of Xurkitree. They have jaws at both ends of their bodies, and it is not uncommon to see them latch onto each other to form long chains and circuits.
Suchomyzon have strong regenerative capabilities. Their powers of regrowth are instead used for reproduction. A Suchomyzon severed in half will slowly grow back into two Suchomyzon. When their numbers are low, they seek out healthy, full-grown peers and snap each other in half with their sharp teeth. A Suchomyzon that goes unharmed for long periods of time often begins to bud from the center of its body, producing another at a perpendicular angle. These two will be fused together in a cross-shape until the young has grown about halfway to full size, at which point its skin will tear and let the new individual slither away.
Suchomyzon have surprisingly robust social patterns and communicate with electronic chirping sounds. They click their jaws together and sing to alert each other of predators and potential hosts. When handled gently, they remain docile. Electrical signals can be sent down the length of their bodies to any other connected Suchomyzon, spreading messages to large swarms quickly. Their coordination as a team affords them success in battle, where as individual fighters they are quite weak.
