Evil Phineas @thecartoonfanatic01
Epilogue

A/N: Well, everyone, we've reached the end of this grand and compelling tale! Rereading this fic has made me wish that it would never end, but alas, all good things come to an...well, you get the gist of it. It's been so many years since I first started writing "Evil Phineas"; in fact, today is the tenth anniversary of my joining the site. That's right, ladies and gents, I've been writing here for ten straight years. Wow. I just cannot believe I imagined to hang on for so long. When I was in my junior years on this site, I've seen a few other authors who have been here for years and years and years, but even they eventually dropped off the realm of fanfiction for a higher calling in real life, whatever that may be. In fact, I think I may be the first author in a while to make it to the ten-year mark here. Impressive, huh?

And my, I've come a long, long, LONG way since my registration on here. Compare "Evil Phineas" to one of my newer fics and I think you'll see a stark difference. But even so, some of the trademarks that I developed in "Evil Phineas" are still present in my newer fics as well. I don't think I've ever written a fic that completely tackles popular genres like drama or romance without bringing in some high-stakes action and suspense. Anything that is 100 percent non-action is probably going to be very short and to the point. Perhaps my acknowledgment of my ten-year anniversary is a sign of new things to come from me?

And not only that, but I've clearly come a long way in real life too. I've evolved from an edgy high-school teenager with a lot of spare time and bursting creativity on his hands after school, to a fresh college graduate working in a part-time job involving constant customer service! Knowing all of this while re-posting my long-lost prized firstborn, in a sense, is quite the poignant experience.

Anyway, yes, it's no small coincidence that I re-posted this final chapter of "Evil Phineas" on the ten-year anniversary of my registration on this site. It was only appropriate that I do it today, because of:

1) The time capsule this fic represents for both me and my writing, AND the "Phineas and Ferb" community

2) How this fic can be compared and contrasted to my newer works and show a natural evolution in my writing style

But just because all good things come to an end, it doesn't mean it is truly the end. After all, an end is also a beginning. And I think this end is the beginning of something great. :D :D :D

Alright, enough of this nostalgic rambling! On with the chapter. ENJOY!

P.S.: Due to the slowly improving situation regarding the coronavirus outbreak, I am going to have to remind you all about the basic steps you should take if you want to stay healthy, courtesy of my university's reminder emails:

-Wash hands often with soap and water for 20-30 seconds at a time, and/or use hand sanitizer
-Avoid close contact with people who are sick
-Keep your hands away from nose, eyes, and mouth (I can't imagine how difficult this part is probably going to be)
-Eat well, get adequate rest, and exercise regularly
-Get a flu shot if you haven't already and are able to
-Stay informed on the COVID-19 vaccines and get shots if you're able to

And if you ARE sick (I hope you get better if you are), please be a good sport and save other folks the trouble of getting sick. You can do this by:

-Covering your mouth and nose with your sleeve, elbow, or a tissue whenever you sneeze or cough
-Not sharing food and drinks with others
-Avoiding touching your mouth, nose, and eyes (Again, I understand this is probably going to be difficult)
-Avoiding close contact with others
-Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and objects
-Staying at home if you're unwell (PRIORITY NUMBER ONE!)
-Staying calm and keeping yourself well-informed (My personal advice)

If you already know this, then great! If you didn't know any of this beforehand, please keep that information in mind as we all go through this trying time. It's a realm of unknowns at this point, and I wish myself and all of humanity well.

Original A/N: Here we are, folks, the final chapter of "Evil Phineas"! HOORAY! Now, before we get on with the chapter, I would like to open this chapter up with a SUPER-LONG Author's Note that explains the complicated and lengthy but enjoyable and exciting process of getting this story finished. It would mean a lot to me if you all read this, since it describes all of the hard work I put into my first story, especially after I decided to overcome all odds and continue it after a brief period of dormancy it suffered.

Anyway, overall, I am very proud of this story, especially its first few chapters. I always felt that if I were to become an excellent, influential writer on this site, I needed to be VERY unique, and to do so, I had to tackle a subject that no one else has tackled before. When I first watched "Phineas and Ferb", one of the first things I noted was how similar Phineas and Doofenshmirtz are. The triangular heads with the pointed noses, the messy hair, their penchant of inventing...it was all there! But people have already done stories where Doofenshmirtz is revealed to be Phineas's father, and to have my first story focus on that particular topic wasn't a good choice for me. Plus, I no longer support the theory of Doofenshmirtz being Phineas's dad, because I have read a couple of discussion forums that point out the discrepancies of such a theory, and I took said discrepancies to heart. Besides, Dan and Swampy have continuously denied that the theory was canon, nor would it be in the show's future. Then again, you never know... But still, I'm not a supporter...

Of course, if you've read the Author's Note in the "Prologue" chapter, you will find out what inspired me to tackle an evil Phineas. Originally, there was supposed to be no Shadow, but then, I felt that if I were to make my first story very dramatic, I'd keep in a little original Phineas in the new entity, a battle for control of Phineas's life if I say so. If you followed this story since day one, then you'll notice that I originally aptly named the Shadow the prototype title "evil Phineas". But after a good friend of mine, maniac's maniac, commented on how confused she was over distinguishing Phineas, the evil Phineas, and, at the time of the chapter, the Phineas of the past, I decided to change the evil Phineas's name to the name you are all familiar with. In fact, "Shadow" was suggested by maniac's maniac herself. So, give her a big round of applause for her part in creativity. Without her, you would've seen too much Phineases in the story.

Then came the conception of Phillip Flynn, my second-favorite OC. Phillip's existence in the story was supposed to be a driving point for the story, an excuse for Phineas to not fight back initially and therefore for the Shadow to commence his plan for domination. However, I drew off of KicsterAsh's OC Francis Flynn a little too much, as one of my first reviewers pointed out, so again, I apologize for that. In NO way did I intend to make my OCs ripoffs of anyone else's.

The OC of David Shapiro came to me like a lightning bolt. When I wanted to kill off Phillip, I originally planned it to be an accidental gas explosion. But, I had figured that it would still be too close to Francis Flynn, and I wanted to make Phillip as unique from Francis as possible. As a last-ditch effort, I leaned on murder, albeit accidental, so to increase the drama factor, and the gas explosion was turned into a bomb. Then, I realized that if I were to introduce Phineas's father, I might as well introduce Isabella's, as introducing both fathers in one story hasn't been done before; it's usually one or the other. Then, it hit me! Isabella seems like the cheery type, obviously taking after her good-natured mother. But what of her father? Was he the nice type? Usually, he would be. But I decided to be creative, and with that, I made David the one to kill Phillip.

And then, last but not least, Django's involvement in the story. After seeing his appearance in "Oil on Candace", I felt that he was underdeveloped as a character on the show, so I decided to give him a bigger role. And what better way to give him a key role in the story than to inadvertently create the evil Phineas?

It had been such a great production. But of course, it had to experience its downsides. First and foremost, the criticism from a certain reviewer named TLEGG. He was really harsh in his reviews, and everyone else has been giving me so much praise. I guess I was caught up in my pride, and it was broken. And then came the rather controversial cancellation of the story, and the warmly-received announcement that I would be rebooting the story with a rewrite trilogy. iheartphinabella05 became involved and we literally took the story to new heights, rewriting all the rules and making the stakes even higher. At first, I was really enjoying the production. But as I evolved, I felt a little empty. Then, I reread the original "Evil Phineas", and just like that, I fell in love again with my first child (that's right, I'm going there XD) and with that, I decided to start again from where I left off. I left iheartphinabella05 solely responsible for the trilogy, with some consultation from yours truly, while I resumed work on this baby right here.

There were also some other aspects I didn't like about the story. First was the violent quality of the story. I wanted it to be faithful to the show, with only the Shadow, David, and his cronies being the all-out evil guys. But then, this faithfulness suddenly evolved into Django cutting hands off, Candace-2 beating someone to death with her staff, innocent people getting killed, Doofenshmirtz falling to his death, etc., etc. I guess I have been watching too many violent shows at the time, curse them! And then, there was the whole Freedom Fighters aspect. It was really unplanned, and though you're all gonna agree that it was essential for the story and an overall good addition, I felt that it was one idea too many.

But overall, I am very glad at how this story turned out. I wanna thank everyone for their undying, unconditional support. Thanks for sticking with me throughout this entire story, and making my first-ever fic an enjoyable experience in writing.

ENJOY THIS EPILOGUE!

Epilogue Summary: Peace has finally resettled through the multiverse at last...

Phineas yawned as he relaxed under the backyard tree. Ferb was sitting beside him, reading a book, and Perry was lying at his other side, continuing to maintain his secret identity as a mindless pet. Though the Flynn-Fletcher family was allowed to know of Perry's life as a secret agent, under no conditions was anyone else allowed to share the same luxury. As a result, everyone else in their group had to be zapped with Doofenshmirtz's Amnesia-Inator.

"Hi, Phineas," a familiar voice greeted. "Whatcha' doin'?"

"Just sitting under this tree," Phineas replied, smiling as he looked at Isabella. In wake of the events that recently occurred, the two were now a steady couple, but it was merely just ten-year-old stuff, nothing serious. Nevertheless, Isabella treated it as if she were in Heaven, and Phineas had never been happier. Their relationship also drew off from the fact that they knew their pets were secret agents; under Pinky's influence, Monogram allowed Isabella to know of her dog's secret identity, as her friend Katie was a member of the Fireside Girls and therefore making her legible to have knowledge of the OWCA.

Isabella's eyes widened. "What do you mean you're sitting under the tree?" she asked, shocked. "No invention for the day? No invincibility suits? No boots that allow you to walk on all surfaces imagined? No machine that can rearrange the stars? Nothing?"

"Well, after what's happened in the past couple of weeks, the Shadow fiasco and all, I feel that we have done too much stuff for the day."

"Wow. I never thought I'd hear Phineas Flynn ever say that." She whipped out her cell phone and started pressing buttons. "I gotta relay that to everybody!"

Phineas chuckled as he started absentmindedly stroking Perry's back, earning a pleased chatter from the platypus. Just then, he heard Isabella sigh sadly.

"Isabella? Is something wrong?"

"No." Isabella was silent for a minute, and the sad look on her face was obvious. "Actually...yes. I...I really can't believe that my dad killed yours."

"It's okay, Isabella. What's done has been done. The past is the past. I forgive your dad for what he's done."

"But...I sometimes worry... I've always imagined my father to be a great, generous person, but my eyes have been opened wide. And now...I wonder if I'll end up like-"

Phineas realized what she was saying and stood up defensively. "Isabella," he said seriously, "you are NOT like your father. You're a great person, and that'll never, ever change. You will NEVER end up like your father, or my name isn't Phineas Albert Flynn!"

"But you...you turned evil, even if it was because of some contraption..."

"It was just a contraption, Isabella," Ferb said suddenly, injecting himself into the conversation. "He's just your father. Just because things happened doesn't mean it tells us of who we really are. All it tells us is in order to make our lives better is to make the right decisions, and the world will be a better place all because of it."

"Agreed," added Phineas.

"I guess so," Isabella said.

"And remember, Isabella," Phineas continued, "my dad, my real dad, always told this to me: Carpe Diem. Just stay within the present. Don't dwell in the past, or ponder about the future. Doing so will just bring you down into darkness and despair, like it did to me."

Isabella's lips curved into a happy, optimistic smile. "Thanks, Phineas. Those words mean a lot to me."

"Uh, hello?"

"And thank you, Ferb. Thanks, guys." Isabella's smile grew wider. "I don't know what I'd do without the both of you."

"Well, you'd be going crazy, I'll say that," a voice replied.

Phineas, Isabella, and Ferb looked at the door in the backyard gate and saw Django and Adyson walking in, hand in hand. Though they were once again zapped with the Amnesia-Inator and alleviated of the memories of their romantic relationship, the gang managed to get them back together with the help of Django's father's art exhibit, some Fireside Girls passes, and a slippery floor concocted by Gretchen and Milly. Now, Django and Adyson were as close as Phineas and Isabella were.

"We all would be going crazy, Addie," Django said. "Without Phineas and Ferb, or even one of them, Danville would be falling into utter chaos!"

"Utter chaos..." repeated Phineas, putting a finger on his chin thoughtfully. His eyes suddenly widened, a smile formed on his lips, and he snapped his fingers as the idea hit him like a lightning bolt striking a tall antenna. "Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today!"

"Looks like Phineas Flynn is back!" Isabella exclaimed. "What is your newest Big Idea, Phineas?"

"We just go CRAZY!"

"Oh man, I suggested that idea," joked Django. "Hopefully that idea doesn't turn out to be a real bummer like last time..."

Everyone laughed, just as Phineas noticed something.

"Hey, where's Perry?"

"There he is!" Isabella said, pointing at the two-legged platypus who had just finished putting on his fedora.

Perry looked back at his owners and their friends and gave them the thumbs-up. Phineas smiled back at his pet, the last earthly connection to Phillip he had left. Ever since he learned that Phillip died attempting to deliver Perry to him as a present all those years ago, he and Perry had become even more closer than ever. It seemed as if Phillip was actually still alive and well, within the platypus.

Phineas gave Perry a thumbs-up as well.

"Have fun, Agent P!" he called. "Say hi to Doofenshmirtz for us!"

Perry nodded, just as a hatch opened up. Saluting his owners, the platypus hopped down the hatch, which then closed.

A hand placed itself on Phineas's shoulder. Looking up, he quickly realized that it was Linda, who had just gone outside. Beside her was Candace and Lawrence, both of whom was smiling at him. Linda was wearing the widest smile of all.

"He'll be okay," Linda said.

Phineas smiled back at his mother and then looked up at the sky. Somewhere, out there, he knew Phillip was watching, smiling down upon them all.

"I know he will." He then looked at Ferb, a smile on his face. "Well Ferb, let's get started on our Big Idea!"

"Right behind you, bro," Ferb replied.

Well we hope you all enjoyed the show
Hope it was not anticlimactic

Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated!

Perry landed his hover-jet on the balcony and hopped out, only to be ensnared by robotic arms. Doofenshmirtz stepped out of the shadows, wearing his wicked grin.

"Ah, Perry the Platypus," he greeted, "nice of you to join us! Oh, and I assume the kids say hi, is that correct?"

Perry nodded happily in response.

"Okay! Well, once you thwart me, tell 'em I say hi also! By the way, just so you know, I am watching Vanessa and Norm right now, so be aware of that."

The platypus glanced at a sofa in the corner, where he found Vanessa sitting there, listening to music. However, the volume appeared to be off, and the smile on the teenager's voice indicated that she was enjoying her father's company. Beside her, Norm was standing there, his usual optimistic self.

"Alright, Perry the Platypus," Doofenshmirtz continued, "you must be wondering what I am planning to do with that useless-looking pile of shovels over there..."

Perry smiled and allowed Doofenshmirtz's nonsensical, mindless ramble to sink into his brain.

"This is the life," he thought happily.

Now there's something we want you to know
And we don't want to sound didactic

Inside a prison somewhere in Danville, David was exercising alongside Roderick, Sid, and Byron in the weights room. All of a sudden, as he stopped exercising and sat up, a large smile crept onto his face, a smile that didn't go unnoticed by his accomplices.

"What's up with the smile, boss?" Roderick asked.

"For some reason," David replied, "I feel really...happy."

"What in the world could you find happy about being confined in this godforsaken prison?!" Byron demanded.

David didn't respond. Instead, he just stared out of the nearby barred window, his smile still in place. The bright, magnificent sunlight shone through the bars, and a single purple flower was blooming from a pot of soil left there.

But if there's one thing we can say
I know it sounds a bit cliché

Walking into the coffee shop, Vivian Garcia-Shapiro looked around, searching for someone she had been planning to meet there. Finally, after a minute, she spotted the person who had called her over to this particular spot in the first place. Approaching the table he was sitting at, a smile formed on her face.

"Hey, Jack," she greeted.

"Hey, Vivian," Jack Davison, Gretchen's father, replied, smiling at her. "How's Isabella?"

"She's doing great! She got a couple more Fireside Girl patches, but even better, she's started going out with her crush Phineas! Oh, I am so proud of my little girl! But I suppose you already learned that from Gretchen?"

"Never stopped talking about the latter." Jack's smile became wider, and he looked down at the table sheepishly. "You know, Vivian, we've been dating for a couple of months now. I've begun to wonder on how our girls are gonna react once we tell them we've been seeing each other..."

Vivian placed her hand on Jack's. "They'll both be happy about that. They're the best of friends, and besides, Isa needs a dad, and Gretchen needs a mom. They'll both be going sugar-crazy about it, I guarantee it."

Jack looked up at Vivian, his smile still in place. Vivian smiled back.

The both of them knew that this was for the best. They had made it together.

There's no such thing
As just an ordinary day

Rodney sat on his armchair, sighing as he surfed endlessly through the hundreds of channels offered by his homemade TV. For some reason, to him...the silence of the day was quite enjoyable. Today was his day off from evil, and he had decided to spend it by doing almost nothing. Apparently, evil had tired him out extensively.

Just then, the phone rang, and the evil scientist answered it.

"Aloyse Everheart Elizabeth Otto Wolfgang Hypatia Gunther Galen Gary Cooper von Roddenstein speaking," he answered.

"Hello, Rodney," replied Dr. Bloodpudding. "What're you doing today?"

"Nothing. What about you?"

"Same here. It's my day off."

It was silent, except for the blaring of the channel Rodney was currently on. Suddenly, Rodney got an idea.

"Bloodpudding, why don't you call over the other members of LOVEMUFFIN?"

"Why?"

"I've got an idea on what we could do for our day off."

"And what's that, Rodney?"

"Do good for once." Just then, Rodney's eyes widened in surprise. "AND IT'S ALOYSE EVERHEART ELIZABETH OTTO WOLFGANG HYPATIA GUNTHER GALEN GARY COOPER VON RODDENSTEIN, HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO KEEP SAYING THAT?!"

Poofenplotz Evil is Crazy!

Pinky landed his hover-jet inside Professor Poofenplotz's headquarters, only to be ensnared by robotic arms.

"Ah, Pinky the Chihuahua," Poofenplotz greeted as she turned around, a bottle of perfume in hand, a malevolent smile plastered on her wrinkly, ugly face, "how nice of you to join me." She then sighed angrily. "Won't you EVER stop trembling, you quivering rat?"

But Pinky didn't. Instead, he smiled slightly as his archenemy continued her banter, happy that his owners Isabella and Vivian were allowed to know of his secret life.

"Perry was right," he thought. "Having your owners know of your secret identity is a good thing. ...This is the life."

These days of summer
And dance to the beat of a different drummer

At a zoo in Seattle, Peter the Panda sat on a rock, maintaining his cover as a zoo animal. However, he ignored the visitors that gawked at him and took pictures of him, instead staring up at the sky, one thought residing in his mind.

"Looks like all is well."

Agent Double 0-0 walked away slowly, calmly, and smoothly, as a limousine with a bald, grubby man stuck inside it exploded in a burst of red-hot flames. Knowing that his mission is completed, he took out his high-tech cell phone, informed Inspector Initials that it was mission complete, put it away, and looked off in the sky.

"Peace has reigned, once again," he muttered to himself.

Thaddeus and Thor were out in their backyard, building a small rocket with their friends when Mandy came out of the backyard, a determined expression on her face.

"Thaddeus and Thor, you are so BUSTED!" Mandy exclaimed.

"Um, I thought you had those tendencies under control, sis," replied Thaddeus, looking at Mandy curiously.

"I thought so too!"

"Okay." Thaddeus turned to Thor. "Gum me!"

Every minute
No more waiting for the right time, you're in it

Entering the interrogation room, Meap faced his longtime nemesis, Mitch, as he sat on a chair, slightly slumped over in defeat.

"Hey, Mitch," he said.

Mitch didn't respond, so Meap decided to continue.

"Well, just so you know, I'd like to thank you for your contribution in saving Phineas back on Earth. ...You know, you don't always have to be a bad guy. You've proven to be very useful for the Intergalactic Security Agency. Why don't you join us?"

Mitch still didn't respond.

"Well, thank you anyway. I'll be on my way."

Meap left the room, and the door closed. Mitch looked at the door with a soft expression.

"You're welcome..." he said.

Just grab those opportunities when you see 'em
'Cause every day's a brand new day, baby, Carpe Diem

Somewhere in the Tri-State Area, Buck Buckerson drove his monster truck through the center of the stadium as an audience roared.

"YEE-HAW!" he screeched. "THIS IS THE LIFE, MAN!"

Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh...
Every day's a brand new day, baby, Carpe Diem
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh...

On Mars, the Martians observed Earth's activities with a high-tech telescope.

"It looks like Earth has resettled back to its former peaceful state," one Martian commented.

"That's good," another replied. "All's well in the Solar System."

Every day's a brand new day
Baby, Carpe Diem

At the 2nd Dimension, Phineas-2 and Ferb-2 battled alongside the rest of the Resistance as they fought against Rodney-2's vast army of robots, which the villain had unleashed in yet another attempt to conquer the Tri-State Area.

Upon destroying a robot, Phineas-2 turned around, only to be attacked by another of Rodney's robots. However, Candace-2 spotted her brother in danger and, in an instant, decapitated the attacker with her staff.

"Thanks, sis," Phineas-2 said as Candace-2 helped him to his feet.

"You're welcome," she replied. "Are you sure you wanna continue battling?"

"I wanna. I can be capable, Candace, all right?"

Candace-2 looked into her brother's eyes with concern, then smiled.

"I know you are."

Phineas-2 smiled back. "Thanks, sis."

The two then turned around and resumed attacking robots coming for them.

Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh...

Phineas smiled as he watched all of his family and friends used all of his and Ferb's past inventions to spend the rest of the summer day with fun. This was his life, he knew, and he wouldn't ask for anything better. Sure, his father, the one person he loved the most, was no longer with him. But it paved the way for something better for his life: the introduction of Ferb and Lawrence. Without them, his life would've been in a shambles.

Despite its ups and downs, this life was HIS life, and he couldn't have asked for anything better. In no way did anyone else have the right to have his life.

The inventor looked up into the sky and smiled. "Hey, Dad," he said. "I hope you're watching from up there. I just wanted you to know that today, like any other day, is the best day ever, and I am spending it to the fullest. Love you, Dad. See you soon."

"Phineas!" Ferb called. "Come on, have fun!"

"I'm coming!"

And with that, Phineas joined everyone else as they had fun. Not once did his smile turn upside-down.

At the fence, Major Monogram and Carl watched, both smiling.

Every day's a brand new day

"Hey, Dad. I hope you're watching from up there. I just wanted you to know that today, like any other day, is the best day ever, and I am spending it to the fullest. Love you, Dad. See you soon."

Up above the clouds, Phillip watched as Phineas stated his words before running off. He smiled proudly as he watched Phineas have fun with his family and friends.

"I am glad to hear that, Inventor Extraordinaire," he said longingly. "I love you too, and I'll see you soon."

With that, Phillip turned around, headed up the nearby escalator, and disappeared into the golden sunlight.

"I'll see you soon, son."

Carpe Diem

And last, but not least, all of the anonymous reviewers and the tens of thousands of viewers who read this story!

Wow. I never knew I would actually make such an impact in the P&F fanfiction community. According to many of my anonymous reviewers, this story was responsible for bringing them into P&F fanfiction, and this story's the third-most reviewed P&F fanfic ever. I've got lots of friends and many fans who are waiting for whatever I post next. It's...it's really humbling. If it weren't for this story, I wouldn't be here. None of what I would do next after "Evil Phineas" would've been possible.

*wipes a tear*

But now, it's time to move on. This story's finished, and fortunately, it's during a time when I have evolved as a writer, in contrast to how I was when I first came onto this site, a day I fondly look back on. It looks like that with the conclusion of this story, the fanfiction contest I set up is also over, although I'll leave it open for a couple more days for any last-minute ideas.

As for what I'll do next now that "Evil Phineas" is done, I'll give it to you:

-Finish "Midsummer Tragedy" and "Taken Away" to make more room for new stories. New ideas just can't stop coming!

-Conclude my fanfiction contest, like I said before. Feel free to submit ideas for stories if you wish!

-Expand my interests beyond P&F and Simpsons. I have started watching "Wild Kratts" on PBS, and I am now eyeing its fanfiction community with interest. Like a predator watching its prey, eh?...

-Get through with school so I can get on with summer and have more opportunities for posting/updating stories.

-Consider several people's requests that I become an actual writer. I REALLY do seem to have the hang of it!

-Help other writers with their stories. I am considering become a Beta Writer, but I am currently unsure right now, for I have a hectic schedule. Maybe during the summer I can become one.

-WRITE MORE STORIES! As usual!

TheCartoonFanatic01 is out. UNTIL NEXT TIME!

New A/N: And...FIN.

Wow. Even though I now have some misgivings on how I wrote certain parts of the story, I still can't help but appreciate the ending that I wrote for "Evil Phineas". I think it wrapped up all the subplots, even the more undesirable ones, nicely, and I found a good way to end everything on a high note. I did notice that I did not include Frank and his children in the mix, and I recall doing that intentionally because it was proof that they were working hard at OWCA to prevent everyone from losing their memories once again. Kind of a flimsy excuse, now that I think about it.

Outside of that, I think that's the best ending I've ever written, and that's saying something because I rarely manage to finish my fics nowadays. Either the fics couldn't match up to the quality of "Evil Phineas", they're ongoing, or they're on hiatus. I sure do have a workload on-site and off-site. XP

Also, I noticed that I had a to-do list that I was going to attend to after I was done with this fic the first time around. Let us see how things have gone for each and every point since then:

1) Finish "Midsummer Tragedy" and "Taken Away" to make more room for new stories. New ideas just can't stop coming!

Well...I did manage to finish "Midsummer Tragedy" and "Taken Away" in the end. It IS true that new ideas couldn't stop coming. Unfortunately, as I mentioned in other chapters, "Midsummer Tragedy" had to go due to copyright concerns, and I am still debating on re-posting it due to its extremely sensitive subject matter.

2) Conclude my fanfiction contest, like I said before. Feel free to submit ideas for stories if you wish!

Ah jeez, it's been a long, long while since I ever had my readers and reviewers request ANYTHING from me. And sadly, I don't think that contest produced anything worthwhile, otherwise I'd have a good memory of it, regardless of whether or not it's been purged from the site.

3) Expand my interests beyond P&F and Simpsons. I have started watching "Wild Kratts" on PBS, and I am now eyeing its fanfiction community with interest. Like a predator watching its prey, eh?...

Expand my interests I did. Though for some reason I'm now more compelled to write fics about anime and manga works rather than outright American cartoons. I sure did betray my name, huh? XP Also, I remember "Wild Kratts"! I sure liked it, but I never did manage to write a fic for that show back in the day. I'm no longer up-to-date with what's happening on that show; I'm betting it's officially off the air by this point.

4) Get through with school so I can get on with summer and have more opportunities for posting/updating stories.

Well, I'm still here, and I've completed my education, so the first part has clearly been accomplished. And given I cannot stop writing, the second part was most likely accomplished as well.

5) Consider several people's requests that I become an actual writer. I REALLY do seem to have the hang of it!

Still working on it! I took a creative writing course in college, which was excellent and enriching, but I'm now considering taking online courses that would help me move along with that goal even further. Outside of that, I'm still brainstorming. I've got a lot of ideas for an original story that I could write and sell, but they're all still unrefined and I'm torn between picking one over another. Wish me the best of luck on that regard!

6) Help other writers with their stories. I am considering become a Beta Writer, but I am currently unsure right now, for I have a hectic schedule. Maybe during the summer I can become one.

I remember once helping out a fellow fic author as a Beta Writer, but I think they gave up on their projects or something and dropped off the site a long time ago. I haven't beta'd anyone for years now. (But if anyone needs help with beta-ing their fics, I'm still open! Just shoot me a PM and we'll work something out! :D)

7) WRITE MORE STORIES! As usual!

Well, we all know how I did on THAT one. Just can't stop writing, just can't stop brainstorming! XD XD XD

And finally...the list of reviewers who reviewed the original story. Man, seeing that list brings a tear to my eye. I wonder how all of them are doing nowadays? I sure hope that they're all doing well. I recognize a few names in particular. It'd be great to hear a shout-out from them after all this time...

Alright, I'm done with all that! I'd like to thank the following people for reviewing:

-Gamelover41592:

1) I'm glad too.

2) Thanks! In hindsight, I do feel like Perry's connection to Phillip could've been less tragic, but alas, it's a perfect way to close out Phineas's grief and trauma over his father's death.

-PhinabellaForLife22:

1) Definitely! To Phineas, Perry is and forever will be a piece of his father still with him. It's an ending to a plotline that I don't think I can ever top. :')

2) Yep! After all this time, we realize that Major Monogram had been watching over Phillip's family, including Phineas and Candace. It is certainly no coincidence that the Flynn-Fletcher family got themselves a platypus as a house-pet over any other, more reasonable animal!

-Cooper Schlickau: At this point, I'm too out of the "Phineas and Ferb" loop to really know how I could implement all of the new stuff that I missed into this story. And honestly, the end result might be too cramped and confusing compared to the current iteration, so I think it's for the best if I kept the whole thing in 2011. I doubt I would've been able to balance that kind of workload.

And that marks the end of the "Evil Phineas" re-post! But remember what I said, everyone! An end is also a beginning.

TheCartoonFanatic01 is out. UNTIL NEXT TIME!
