Stronger Than Me @rainbowhairedgirl
Chapter 23

Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 23 of Stronger Than Me. Thank you to those who have left reviews. It does mean a lot to me that you guys are enjoying this story and the characters that are involved in this story. I'm of course curious if I should do a Turquoise story in the original series with Spock. Like how they met and all that good stuff. What do you guys think of that idea? I hope that you guys enjoy this next chapter. Without further ado Chapter 23. ENJOY!

Chapter 23

Spock was in the transporter room staring at the transporter pad as Sarek entered the room.

"Speak your mind, Spock," Sarek said to his only son.

"That would be unwise," Spock said not looking back at his father as his eyes continued to be glued to the transporter pad.

"What is necessary is never unwise."

"I'm as conflicted as I once was as a child."

"You will always be a child of two worlds. I am grateful for this. And for you."

"I feel anger for the one who took my mother's life. An anger I cannot control."

"I believe, as she would say, do not try to. You asked me once why I married your mother. I married her because I loved her." Sarek said, looking at his son. "You are on that path with the woman you're seeing now. You're in love with her just like I was in love with your mother. You should talk to her and let her know how you feel."

Spock turned and looked at his father, his eyes widening slightly. He was rather surprised to know that his father knew about his girlfriend. But how would he even go about and talk to his girlfriend about how he felt?

Chekov was busy doing calculations on a board to figure out what they could do to save their captain.

"Whatever the case, we need to get aboard Nero's ship undetected," Jim said, trying to figure out how they could do it.

"And just go in there guns blazing, Jim. No…" Leonard said, looking at the younger man.

"I'm telling you the math doesn't support…" Sulu said, shaking his head.

Turquoise let out a breath shaking her head. Whatever they needed to do wasn't going to be easy on any of them.

"Captain Kork, Captain Kork!" Chekov said cutting Sulu off rather quickly.

"Yes, Chekov. What is it?" Jim questioned looking over at the wiz kid that they had on board.

"Based on the fastest course from Wulcan, I have projected that Nero will travel past Saturn. Like you said, we need to stay inwisible to Nero or he'll destroy us. If Mister Scott can get us to warp factor four, and if we drop out of warp behind one of Saturn's moons, say, Titan, the magnetic distortion from the planet's rings will make us inwisible to Nero's sensors. From there, as long as the drill is not actiwated we can beam aboard the enemy ship."

"Aye, that might work." Scotty said thinking.

"Wait a minute, kid, how old are you?" Leonard questioned looking at the young man.

"Seventeen, sir."

Leonard's eyes widened before pinching the bridge of his nose. "Oh, oh good, he's seventeen."

"Doctor, Mister Chekov is correct. I can confirm his telemetry. If Mister Sulu is able to maneuver us into position, I can beam aboard Nero's ship, steal back the black hole device, and if possible, bring back Captain Pike." Spock said as he looked at the group.

Turquoise looked over at Spock with wide eyes wondering why he would want to do such a thing. It was a suicide mission.

"I won't allow you to do that, Mister Spock," Jim said as he looked at the half-Vulcan.

"Romulans and Vulcans share a common ancestry. Our cultural similarities will make it easier for me to access the ship's computer to locate the device. Also, my mother was Human, which makes Earth the only home I have left." Spock explained to him.

"I'm coming with you," Jim said, looking at Spock as he got up to his feet.

"I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it."

"See, we are getting to know each other."

Turquoise let out a breath shaking her head lightly. "I'm coming as well."

"Turquoise no…"

"Jimmy, you're not stopping me from doing this. You need more than one person with you." She stated giving him a look.

Jim let out a breath knowing that this wasn't going to be the easiest thing. He knew that Turquoise was rather stubborn. He knew this was something she wanted to do. It was her flaw in wanting to help people. She went to Vulcan and helped Spock save his people and now she wanted to save the man that had protected her during the time of being in Star Fleet from her ex-boyfriend who liked to occasionally cause trouble.

"Well, Jimmy, are you going to stop me from going with you?" She questioned cocking her hip to the side as she looked at her brother.

Her eyes then drifted over to Spock.

Spock shook his head lightly not wanting to stop her from what she wanted to do.

Jim blinked a few times as he watched the exchange. Could the older Spock be right about his sister and this version of his Spock getting together?

Turquoise offered the two men a small smile. She knew that they had a lot of work to do.
