I'm working rather hard with these chapters to get them out in a timely manner. We're on the fourth chapter of Iron Man and I'm excited to show you guys more of what's going on in this part of the story. I know that you guys weren't expecting Alexia to be part of Shield, and there will be a back story of how she joined Shield but it will be a bit before it's shown. I hope that you enjoy this next chapter. Without further ado Chapter 4. Enjoy.

Chapter 4

Tony and Alexia stared at the Arc Reactor that was in the room. Tony ate some fries and sipped on some Coke.

Alexia turned her head a little seeing Obadiah coming towards them with an agitated look on his face.

"Well that went well. You just painted targets on our heads. Our stock is going to take a 40 point dive tomorrow." Obadiah said, shaking his head, rubbing his balding head.

Tony didn't answer what Obadiah was saying as he continued to eat his fries.

Alexia bit her lip softly knowing that Obadiah wouldn't take this sitting down. She knew that he was going to try new tactics to get Tony to change his mind. Her heart clenched in her chest in worry that Obadiah would talk Tony out of changing the path of the business.

"Tony, we are a weapons manufacturer. Turning this company around to make baby bottles is like trying to get a bear to walk on its hind legs."

"I don't want a body count to be my only legacy. There are other things we can do." Tony said, moving his head to look at Obadiah with a sour look on his face.

"Like what?" Obadiah questioned throwing his hands up in irritation.

"We could develop the Arc Reactor."

Obadiah pointed to the Arc Reactor. "This? This was a publicity stunt. It's not even cost effective. We knew that before we built it. Repulsor technology is a dead end."

Tony ripped open his shirt revealing the glowing mini arc reactor that he had made to save his life. "No it isn't."

Alexia gasped as she looked at it with wide green eyes. She didn't think that this was part of Tony.

Obadiah touched the mini arc reactor that was inside of Tony's chest. "Oh my God. It is a miracle you are alive. What must have happened to you over there?" He hugged Tony tightly in his arms.

Alexia swallowed the lump in her throat as she watched the look on Obadiah's face which was rather concerning.

"We're a team. There is nothing we can't do if we stick together like your father and I. Let me handle this. But you have to lay low. Don't talk to the press again. Can you do that for me?"

"Yes. Thanks Obie." Tony said with a nod of his head.

Alexia pursed her lips together. "Tony…"

Tony turned his head to look at his sister.

"Are you ready to go?" She asked, jingling her keys off her finger. She would be willing enough to drive Tony back home since she was deciding to stay with him.

Tony gave her a small smile and nodded his head. "Yes, I'm ready to go…"

Alexia forced a smile onto her lips as she looked at Obadiah. "See you around Obi." She said softly as she wrapped her arm around her older brother and slowly led him out of the building. She bit her lip in worry as she led Tony to her expensive car that he had gotten her for her 21st birthday.

Tony and Alexia entered his home and the house came alive. Windows and lights changed colors. The television turned on. Jarvis loaded all of Tony's preferences.

"Hello, Mr. Stark, Miss Stark."

"Hello, Jarvis." The siblings replied to the AI in unison.

"What can I do for you?"

"I need to build a better heart." Tony told the AI pursing his lips together.

"I'm not sure I follow, Sir."

Alexia bit her lip as she moved back away from Tony having a feeling that he was going to have Jarvis do a scan.

"Give me a scan and you'll see." Tony said as he removed his shirt and slowly went down the stairs to go to his lab.

Alexia slowly followed him down to the lab wanting to be at least close to Tony during this time.

Tony grabbed a pair of goggles slipping them on. He took a seat in the 3D laser scanner. The lasers played over him, mapping out his entire body.

Alexia bit her lip softly in concern.

"What were your intentions for this device?"

Terabytes of data raced past his head as he looked at him. "It powers an electromagnet which

keeps the shrapnel from entering my heart. Can you recommend any upgrades?"

"It is difficult to offer counsel in light of the fact that your stated intentions are inconsistent with

your actions."

Tony's chest device was magnified. Its various components flashing as Jarvis analyzed them.

"What are you talking about? That is ridiculous. That is exactly the purpose of this invention." Tony complained.

Alexia let out a breath and shook her head lightly.

The monitors went deeper and deeper through the strata of Tony's device. It was like a city unto itself.

"The energy yield of this device outperforms your stated intention by eleven orders of magnitude. You could accomplish your stated goal with the power output of a car battery."

Tony stepped from the booth all around him and the calculations flashed at blinding speed. "Upgrade recommendations. List."

"Why are you talking to me like a computer?"

"Because you are acting like one."

"Shall I disable random pattern conversation?"

"No. It's ok. You are the only one who understands me. Besides Alexia." He said looking back at his little sister.

Alexia forced a small smile on her lips. Of course she understood Tony just because of all his antics made things hard.

"I don't understand you sir."

"Were you always this dry? I remember you having more personality than this."

"Should I activate sarcasm harmonics?"

"Fine. Could you please make your recommendations now?"

"It would thrill me to no end."

"Ahh that's more like it."

Alexia let out a soft chuckle shaking her head lightly.

"Should I begin machining the parts?"

"Machine away."

Alexia sat down and watched Tony with a soft look on her face. She was kind of happy to see Tony working again. It was a sight that she loved seeing. It made her glad to know that her brother was back and changing his path. She could only hope that he wasn't going to work himself to death. "Tony."

"Did you want me to take care of things at the office until you're ready again?"

"Obi has everything under control."

Alexia took a shaky breath. "You sure?"

"Lexia you should be in college studying…"

Alexia bit her lip softly knowing that he didn't know that she had taken time off. "I'm off for the time being."

Tony looked up at her a look of concern was on his face. "You're not in college?"

Alexia shook her head lightly. "No… I ran the company while you were gone…"

Tony took a sharp breath. "I know you didn't like us making weapons."

Alexia nodded her head weakly. "Yes… and now you're changing your path…"

Tony nodded his head firmly.

"And the arc reactor… is a very good choice. And I'm here to help."

Tony nodded his head knowing that his sister would be more than happy to help.

This is the end of Chapter 4. Let me know what you think in a review. Reviews actually keep me going in my writing. I'm not fully sure of how many chapters I have left with the Iron Man movie, but I'm going to try my best to make it as long as I possibly can. I still don't know who to pair Alexia off with just yet. Perhaps I'll figure it out soon or maybe you my lovely readers will help with the choosing of who she should be with. Reviews keep me going. Until next time.
