I do apologize for the short chapters. I usually try not to have short chapters, but it's hard to keep up with the chapters in trying to keep the lengths at a good distance. I hope that you guys enjoy this next chapter. Without further ado Chapter 20. ENJOY!

Chapter 20

Alexia walked with Tony through the prison. Her hands were behind her back in nervousness. She couldn't believe that Tony had asked her to join him as he went to interrogate Ivan for what had happened. Her mind was still reeling that such a thing even happened.

"On a vérifié ses empreintes et on n'a rien trouvé, même pas son nom." The officer said in French as they walked down the hall.

"Où allons-nous?" Tony questioned back in French.

"Par là. En fait on ne sait même pas s'il parle. Il a pas dit un mot depuis qu'il est arrivé, pas un son."

Alexia pursed her lips together and cleared her throat. "Cinq minutes."

The officer opened the door. "Non, non s'il vous plaît tout ira bien. Five minutes." He said as they walked into the room and the door shut behind the two of them.

Alexia looked around her brows slightly furrowed.

"Pretty decent tech. Cycles per second were a little low. You could have doubled up your rotations. You focused the repulsor energy through ionized plasma channels. It's effective. Not very efficient. But it's a passable knock-off. I don't get it. A little fine-tuning you could have made a solid paycheck. You could have sold it to North Korea, China, or Iran, or gone onto the black market. You look like you got friends in low places." Tony said looking at Ivan making sure to keep his sister close to him so Ivan couldn't harm either one of them. He just wanted answers to what this guy was doing with such tech.

"You come from a family of thieves and butchers. And now, like all guilty men, you try to rewrite your history. And you forget all the lives the Stark family has destroyed." Ivan snarled looking up at the two of them.

"Speaking of thieves, where did you get this design?"

"My father. Anton Vanko."

"Well, I never heard of him."

"I have," Alexia said narrowing her eyes at the man that sat before them.

"My father is the reason you're alive," Ivan said smugly.

"The reason I'm alive is 'cause you had a shot, took it, and missed."

"Did I? If you can make God bleed, the people will cease to believe in him. And there will be blood in the water. And the sharks will come. The truth, all I have to do is sit here and watch as the world will consume you."

"Where will you be watching the world consume me from? That's right. A prison cell. I'll send you a bar of soap." Tony said as he turned to leave the room. He knew that they weren't going to get anywhere with this man. But what bothered him was how Alexia knew who Anton Vanko was. Could it be with what she was dealing with in Shield? And if she knew why didn't she mention it to him sooner? He wrapped his arm around her shoulder and led her toward the door.

"Hey, Tony."

Tony stopped for a moment.

"Before you go, palladium in the chest, painful way to die."

Tony walked out of the cell with Alexia. He walked with her down the hallway. "You knew who could've given him that tech?"

"Tony, no. I didn't know until he said the name of Anton Vanko. And you'll find out more." She said as she shrugged his arm off of her back.

"You use to tell me everything."

Alexia looked over at Tony over her shoulder. "You use to tell me things to Tony, and you quit doing that."

This is the end of Chapter 20. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I know that there isn't much going on in this chapter. But we now see that Tony is worried that Alexia is hiding things from him and he doesn't like it. But she doesn't like the idea that Tony is hiding things from her too. She has a fair point in telling him that he use to tell her things just like she used to. Please leave a review and let me know what you think.
