Ouma stares at the flowers that litter before his feet, each one a shade of gold that seemed to glitter in the darkness of his room. The blood that had come out together with the flowers was there too, the disgusting color mocking him, reminding him of the fact that just as his class despised him, so did the one person he learned to love.
